DANIELLE MAENG
Flutist + NashvilleCMS Director of Media and Marketing
Korean - Australian flutist, Danielle Maeng pursues a multi-faceted career with a passion for both arts administration and flute performance. Growing up in Nashville, Tennessee, Danielle studied with Norma Rogers and Philip Dikeman as a Myra Jackson Scholar at the Blair School of Music of Vanderbilt University. She continued her studies in London at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree and subsequently obtained a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of renowned flutist Ransom Wilson.
During the 22/23 season, Danielle was a Flute Fellow in TÅŒN - The Orchestra Now, a graduate-level training orchestra based in New York. TÅŒN comprises vibrant young performers from across the globe performing regularly at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and the Fisher Center in the Hudson Valley.
In addition to her vast musical accomplishments, Danielle is also pursuing a career in arts administration. She was an integral member of the Yale School of Music's Marketing and Communications team aiding in content creation, social media strategy and community engagement. In the summer of 2023, in addition to joining the faculty roster for the Brevard Flute Seminar, Danielle was the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the Brevard Music Festival situated in North Carolina.
Danielle brings her passion for both communications and music to all her endeavors, using her creativity and dedication to develop innovative marketing strategies that engage communities and attract all audiences. She hopes to utilize her expertise to share the joy of music that Nashville Chamber Music Society creates.
Currently based in Nashville, Danielle performs regularly with the Nashville Chamber Music Society; she is also a dedicated teacher, avid session musician, and frequently performs with various ensembles, including the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
